- The setting at the beginning is sunset towers. The main characters are Barney Northrup, Otis Amber, and Turtle. In the exposition, Barney Northrup shows people the apartments of sunset towers, and later, Otis Amber tells some of the kids about the westing house. Also, Turtle then try’s to stay in the westing house for a little while, but gets scared and runs away.
- Exposition
- Sixteen people go to the westing house for the reading of Samuel W Westings will, and find out that they are his heirs. They also found out that there is a game to win his two million dollar fortune.
- Rising action
- The sixteen heirs are put into pairs for the game. They are also given sets of clues. Each clue has 3-6 papers, each with one word on it. The only problem is that the pairs can’t figure out what they mean or what there used for. Plus, now there is a bomber amongst them.
- Conflict
- The sixteen heirs try to figure out there clues, while dodging the bombers total of four attacks. Many pairs think they know at least part of the answer to the game, but only one pair is on to something and close to the answer.

- The eight pairs are gathered again at the westing house to give their answers for the game. However, only some have answers. Then it takes an unexpected turn when one of the heirs supposedly dies, and one gets arrested.
- Falling action
- The now fourteen heirs gather at the judges apartment where the girl named Turtle, decides to hold a small court session. She calls many wittiness, and eventually finds out all the information that she needed. She realizes that Samuel Westing is not dead. And that isn’t his real name. He has four forms. His real and first name and form is Julian R Eastman, and his other three are Samuel Westing, Barney Northrup, and Alexander (Sandy) McSouthers.
