- Ponyboy Curtis was outside of the movie theaters at night when Bob and Randy (the Socs) jumped him and tried to cut him when the Greasers Darry and Soda , his brothers came and saved him.
- CLIMAX
- Pony went to the movies and met Cherry Valance. They talked a lot and after that pony went and fell asleep in a lot with Johnny. He woke up super late and went home. When he got home Darry slapped him. So pony ran away.
- FALLING ACTION
- Pony and Johnny were running away when Bob, Randy, and more Socs came and jumped them. They were drowning Pony so Johnny stabbed bob and killed him. So they ran away and changed their identities. Then the Church caught on fire and a bunch of kids were caught in it, so Johnny and Pony went to save them.
- RESOLUTION
- Johnny was in the hospital while the Socs and Greasers got into a big rumble. The Socs Steve, Two bit, Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, and Dally, won. When the rumble ended they find out that Johnny died so Dally robbed a store and the police killed him.
- After the Rumble was over Ponyboy questioned why he was a greaser and got into an argument with Darry. While the argument went on Soda got upset and ran out the door.
- Darry and Pony chased after Soda and tackled him to the ground. Soda told the boys that they have to stop fighting because they are all each other have, so they have to stick together. after that the boys didn't fight that much anymore.
