- Cabeza de Vaca and his men were on their ship until it had crashed near the shore of an island. Cabeza de Vaca and his men approached the island together.
- Stay with us until it is safe to leave.
- It isn't safe enough for us to sail home yet!
- Cabeza de Vaca and his men decided to warp to shore, once they were there they were greeted by Indians; they were aided and treated with kindness.
- Once the men were aided, they proceeded to go back home to Spain. Cabeza de Vaca and his men sailed the ship out in the water and said their goodbye's to the Indian's.
- During a storm, Cabeza de Vaca and his men had to come back to safety with the Indians. De Vaca and his men stayed on the island for comfort and safety.
- Cabeza de Vaca and his men did not end up coming home. They became medicine men on the island with the Indians and tried to aid all the men of the land.
