CLIMAX
The short story entitled "How My Brother Leon Brought Home a Wife" was written by Mr. MANUEL E. ARGUILLA an Ilocano who won first prize in the Commonwealth Literary Contest in 1940.
Leon and Maria are about to return to Leon's village after their wedding.
Baldotakes the reins after a short distance and abruptly changes course to the rocky road of Waig and the surrounding fields.
They arrived at their home and were greeted by Leon's mother and sister.
Baldo talked to his father about Maria.
Their conversation was disturbed as the new couple entered to meet with Leon's father. Baldo leaves the room, giving them some space with the head of the family.
