טקסט Storyboard

  • - Plastic bags are not biodegradable. When plastics bags become litter, they pollute oceans, rivers, farmlands, cities, and neighborhoods. Bans eliminate bags, which equals less litter and less pollution.- Plastic bags jam up recycling systems
  • Plastic bags pollute not only our water but also our land.Plastic bags are usually lightweight, and as such, they can travel very long distances by either water or wind
  • Use the reusable bags, reduce the use of plastic.
  • - Decline the bag.- Bring your reusable bags instead.- Recycle the plastic bags.- Re-use the plastic bags yourself.
  • In Malaysia the problem is serious. In 2020 we used 148,000 tonnes of plastic packaging for food. Our annual per capita plastic packaging usage is 16.78kg. This use of plastic has been increasing year by year despite campaigns designed to move people away from single-use plastics.
  • The plastic typically used in bottles, bags and food containers contains chemical additives such as endocrine disruptors, which are associated with negative health effects including cancers, birth defects and immune system suppression in humans and wildlife.Plastic bags have become major items in the litter system. This has resulted in many detrimental environmental effects including animal choking, pollution, blockage of channels, rivers and streams, and landscape disfigurement. It can take hundreds or even thousands of years for plastic to break down so the environmental damage is long-lasting. It affects all organisms in the food chain from tiny species like plankton through to whales.
