- Hello child! I see you are glued to your computer for long. Isn't it harmful for your eyes and health? In our times, we used to play outdoor and exercise a lot - it is so good for our health.
- Grandpa, I am working on a school-project. In today's time, we have computers and internet. Now we get lot of information very fast. May be in your time, you didn't have much options, so you spent more time in playing; but nowadays, there are so many options and we try to balance in all.
- When we were young, we used to get all information from books, newspapers and also libraries. Reading books and newspapers is again a great habit, which I find is lagging in today's children - they are mostly glued to gadgets all day.
- But gadgets, like mobiles, are a wonderful way of keeping touch with friends and relatives - people can now contact each other instantly.
- Maybe in earlier times we couldn't get in touch with others instantly, but friends and relatives used to often visit each other's place and we would have lot of fun together. Our social lives were more real, than virtual.
- That's a positive thought, my dear child! Now quickly finish your project and then together we will go for a walk.
- I feel there are pros and cons in both eras. However, we need to continue to strive to better our environment and lives.
