- Word on the plantation is that one of the Scotts went and asked for freedom. They weren't freed.
- Same old same.
- Part of the Dread Scott decision; A slave going to the courts to see if her and her husband could be freed.
- I am going to sue my slave owner and fight for me and my husband free.
- The slave goes home to her husband to tell him the bad news.
- I am suing my slave master for my freedom. My husband and I have worked far to hard and we deserve to be free.
- We will see ho wins this battle.
- Other slaves on the plantation hearing about the bad news.
- As I said many times before you and your husband will never be free.
- I will like to sue my master for my freedom. Do you approve of it?
- Plan that one of the slaves is going to do so that they could be freed.
- The slave goes up to her master and tells him that she is going to sue him.
