One day, Norma and Arthur return home and find a strange package sitting at their front door. They see a note on the back and it says, "I will call you at 6 pm I will let you know what this gadget does." Norma and Arthur bring the package inside.
Norma gets a call at 7 pm. The man on the phone explains the gadget in the box and what it does. He says, "Hello, This is Mr.Lawrence. I wanted to talk to you about that box. The gadget inside is a button. That button, believe it or not, can give you 1 wish that you cannot reverse. I can come over and explain if you would like." Norma and Arthur are confused and invite Mr.Lawrence over to their house.
Mr. Lawrence comes over and explains the 1 wish rule and then he leaves the house. Arthur and Norma are baffled and think he is just joking and this is some sort of prank.
Norma and Arthur look inside the box and see the button. Arthur thinks it's fake and wished can't come true just like that. Norma is very curious and thinks since Arthur is being rude she should just make the wish for herself.
In the middle of the night while Arthur is sleeping Norma decides to make her wish on the button secretively. She wishes for a great amount of wealth.
The next morning Norma wakes up to Arthur, and he is dead in his bed. She answers a phone call as soon as she wakes up from Mr.Lawrence. She is terrified.
Hmm, I wonder where this box came from. It has a note.
That man who just called is creepy. I wonder if I should even press that button.
It could just be a joke call that sounds very unlikely. You can't be that gullible.
This can't be true but at the same time i'm very curious. What do you think Arthur?
This is ridiculous its a hoax.
Okay, whatever you say. Just be wise with your decision.
What if it really can make a wish Arthur what if we just tried it?
Just throw the button away Norma. It's useless and wishes can't just come out of anywhere!
I wish for a great amount of wealth to come to me, and only me soon.
"Hello, Norma. I take it you made the wish? You're in your husbands will you have lot's of money now!"
I didn't mean for this to happen! I'm sorry Arthur.
