- Moses had came to Horeb, the Mountain of God. That's when he saw it. An unnatural bush, infinitely glowing.
- “Moses, Moses! Here I am. Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
- Then the Bush spoke to him:
- “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. I have observed the misery of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their cry on account of their taskmasters.

- The Lord continued:
- But... How will they react if I tell them you sent me...
- Moses, I need you to save the people of Israel from the Pharaoh, I'll guide you.
