- Wolves live in packs usually made up of a male parent, a female parent and their pups. They learn to hunt small animals, like rabbits, raccoons and rodents. When they are older they learn to fight predators and hunt larger animals like deer, goats and wild boars. In this valley there is enough space and food for every species to survive.
- This wolf packs' home is a small cave, also called den, near a lake. There, they have access to fresh water and food, and they shelter from weather and protect their pups from predators that may want to hurt them.
- Heavy rainfall in high mountain areas causes streams to rise very quickly. Rocks, debris and water saturated ground leads to severe flooding and wolves are forced to leave their "home" and look for a safe dry place to live.
- Wolves and other animals are able outrun the flooding waters and move to higher grounds to survive. Many small animals, rodents and insects are not able to run fast enough to get away and drown.
- Wolves and other animals spend the following months hunting and running from other predators as they look for a safe place to live. After a few months the flooding waters go down and the wolves and other animals are able to go back to the valley.
- After all the chaos only the the bigger and stronger animals where able to adapt to change and survive.
