- She woke at 5:30 after an unsatisfying sleep. Her hands got blistered overnight and and very weak, so it would be highly recommended to wear heavy mitts so they wouldnt get worst and warm herself. She attempted to unzip the tent and find herself with cold weather and clear skies, a beautiful view. She found this morning unnapealing since the start of the day even if she was a morning person. She started to change herself to meet with her dog, Charlie.
- When she got out there was even more cold than before and she was surprised there were no animals roaming near her. The settling of the light took her for delight and she noticed how the Artic light affected depth and perception. Charlie got excited when he got to see his owner approaching. They cuddled for a while and after, the owner supplied her dog with food which he greatfully ate.

- Before she continued her expedition, she had to fuel herself too. She proceeded to make her breakfast hot but enjoyable and decided for a leisure breakfast of healthy ingredients plus hot water. It was difficult for her since her hands were still rigid but it ended well. Sadly after making it, with 3 spoons it already froze so the next one she ate more rapidly.
- I did that oml, I really did that....
- She started to get concerned on how the tent was going to be packed when she had suddenly heard a serious growl from Charlie, he was growling at polar bears not to far from them, she quickly took her loaded riffle and flare gun and anchored Charlie to the sled while always staying close to him. The female bear had 2 cubs, they came exactly where charlie and her were. The woman then tried to remember the words from the inuit she has seen before.
- GRRRRR
- She tried to keep calm, as for the bear, she fired a warning shot to its left, though it did not do any effect on her and moved on. Then another shot, She stopped to look at the flare then at the woman, she kept foward. The woman was petrified now, she fired one more flair and the bear did the same thing from the 2nd warning, this time looking at her cubs. You could see she was concerned for the outcome and her 2 babies. The woman shoot 2 more flairs trying to keep a distance and 2 more.
- GRRRRR, BARK BARK
- At the end, the 3 retreated leaving the visitors alone. This ended after 15 min. but felt too much for the woman. She and Charlie stood still watching how the bears went away and how proud she was for standing for herself. As the adrenaline lessened it started getting colder and the bears went away so she decided to pack herself and leave.
