In addition, the Chinese were the only people that were allowed to take tax on the trade, as well as no power gaining exception to it.
- The Boxer rebellion was the responsibility of a secret organization that had enough with the Western and Japanese influence on China due to the Open Door Notes. Many Chinese died due to the rebellion.
- Protectorate is where a country controls another and protects the country from harm. An example of a Protectorate is the relationship between the US and Cuba.
