- Nan Hauser spent last 18 years at Cook islands Pacific observing one of the largest mammals, humpback whales.
- Her research is a very dangerous process of "tagging whales" and she states its the "scariest thing I've ever done to track migration routes of humpbacks." They migrate from the southern hemisphere from their feeding grounds and the Antarctic to the South Pacific to give birth and mate.
- Nan Hauser's job was the president of the Centerfor cetacean research and conservation.
