- Horatio: Look,sir-Here it comes!
- Hamlet: Oh angles, Protect us! whether you're a good spirit or a cursed demon, whether you bring heavenly breezes or blasts of hell fire, whether your intentions are good or evil, you look so strange I want to talk to you. I'll call you "Hamlet Senior", " King", " Father", "Royal Dane". Answer me! Don't drive me crazy with curiosity, but tell me why your church- buried bones have burst out of their coffin, and why your tomb.
- Horatio: It wants you to go off with it, as if it wants to tell you something alone.
- Hamlet: It's not going to speak, so I'll follow it.
- Horatio: Don't do it, sir.
- What if it temps to jump into the sea, sir? Or to the terrifying cliff that overhangs the water, and hear it roar far below.
- Hamlet: Why, what's the danger? I don't value my life one bit. And as for my soul, how can the ghost endanger that, since it's immortal as the ghost is? Look, it's me waving over again. I'll follow it.
- Hamlet hears and views the ghost for the very first time. Horatio also saw the ghost. Hamlet speaks out to the ghost.
- Hamlet:If you have a voice or can make sounds, speak to me!
- After Hamlet spoke to the ghost, the ghost has something to say as well. Horatio says what the ghost wants. Both are curious.
- Hamlet: Where are you taking me? Speak. I refuse to go any further.
- Ghost: Listen to me.
- Hamlet: I knew it!! My uncle killed you.
- Hamlet heard the ghost. Horatio argues with Hamlet and refuses to let him get hurt. Horatio does not like Hamlet's idea.
- Ghost: I'm the ghost of your father. I could tell you stories that would slice your throat. The king killed me...
- Hamlet is trying to hear what the ghost has to say after walking off to hear the ghost. Hamlet doesn't know if the ghost will speak. He is just trying to get the smallest bit out of it.
- The ghost and Hamlet talk. Hamlet finally hears the ghost speak also. Hamlet is spooked and confused.
- Hamlet finds out why the ghost was around. Shocked is an understatement. Hamlet is confused and sngry.
