- Mr Enfield and Mr utterson go on their usual Sunday walk
- The sight of the neglected door promps Enfield to tell a story
- "did you ever remark that door?... it is connected in my mind with a very old story"
- He tells a story of a man trempling a young girl
- "for the man trampled calmly over thr child's body and left her screming on the ground
- the family of the girl came out, they are very angry and demand compensation.The man name is Mr Hyde
- "I never saw a circle of such hateful faces"
- Hyde gives the family a genuin cheque for 100 pounds in the name of respectable Dr. Jekyll.
- "Well , we screwd him up to a hundred pounds for the child's family"

- Mr Utterson and Mr Enfield agree to never taik about it again.
