- happened in New York, and a battle was fought. This was the Americans greatest loss of the whole war, luckily Washington an most of his men escape from the fight. 1/3 of the crowns army was made out of German mercenary.
- battle of Brandywine
- it gave Washington troops a morale booster. They won the battle and cause mayhem against the German mercenary's. To do this they had to cross the frozen Delaware River.
- Saratoga
- Washington won this battle by going offensive, chasing them down and flanking them. British troops mostly leave New Jersey after Princeton. Washington
- summary
- this was a loss for the Americans, and was a major loss. The crown took over Philadelphia, and this ended the Americans winning streak.
- persuaded the French, Spanish & Dutch to join the war. This was a major turning point in the American Revolution, American win.
- first during the war were taking a beating from Britain, losing the battle of long island. but once we go and fight the war of Trenton we got a moral booster and gained determination to continue the war. We would later win another battle, the battle of Princeton and lose, another which would led the British to capture Philadelphia. but then the fight of Saratoga would be the major turning point in the war.
