  • Cancer Information Seeking Preferences and Experiences: Disparities Between Asian Americans and Whites in the Health Information National Trends Survey This is an academic article, a study, that looks into the the differences between White and Asian Americans and their preferences on self-education about health and seeking treatments or services in healthcare. The purpose of this source is to look into the the counterargument that Asian Americans are not willing or as invested in seeking medical help when it comes to cancer. They conducted this study by using data from the 2003 HINTS study that surveyed 6,369 adults. This is a credible source for this topic because it addresses one of the counterarguments that can be brought up when addressing the issue of disparities for Asian Americans in the healthcare.

  • Cancer burden facing Asian Americans partly caused by racism This is commentary in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, given by Moon Chen, who is the the Associate Director of community outreach and engagement at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is great resource for my article because Mr. Chen uses many facts and statistics from this journal to also help support this argument. Not only are facts listed but Mr. Chen mentions actions that can be taken to lessen the inequities in the healthcare system
