- Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett went to the University of Marlyland were she graduated as a Meyerhoff Scholar which is a program that focuses on the advancement of minorities and women in science.
- At the start of the pandemic while some people quarantined Dr. Corbett started to learn about this deadly virus to be able to make a vaccine
- When Donald Trump visited the National Institution of Health he was presented to Dr. Corbett who was the key to the covid vaccine.

- Two weeks after her team started to do the first clinical trials for the Covid-19 Vaccine
- Due to her ground breaking research for the Moderna vaccine she was able to get a job as an assistant professor in the in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Disease
- With her new role in Harvard Dr. Corbetts new focus is to study viruses that affect the respiratory system by observing the host immune system
