- Exposition- he has now been trapped on the Ship-wreck island
- Conflict- External conflict Character vs. Character, Rainsford is trying to get away from Zaroff
- rising action- Rainsford has now found a hiding spot in the tree to get away from Zaroff
- Climax - Rainsford jumps out the tree and he sprints into the island.
- Falling action - Rainsford now has a descion in which he HAS to jump to avoid deaath.
- Resolution- zaroff and rainsford return home so they can " dual" one hwere who ever is last to shoot dies .
