- I was taught art by my older brother, Hubert.
- I married a woman named Margareta and had 10 children.
- I became a court painter for Philip the Good, a Duke. I was well paid, and made journeys for the duke.
- My most famous painting is called the Arnolfini Wedding.
- I learned to mix and blend my oil paints to make new colors!
- Did you hear about jan Van Eyck? He just finished a painting!
- Yes! The Adoration of the Lamb! It's amazing! So much detail!
- The whole town is talking about it!
- I really pay attention to detail, which makes up my style.
- People say that I make oil paintings have depth, and that they look so real!
