- Mysterious disease outbreak in Springville infected 55850 people. Patients presented with signs and symptoms similar to those of Covid-19. Laboratory tests confirmed that 150 samples tested positive for Covid-19.
- Out of 625000 population, 55 890 cases got infected. We need to vaccinate people, majority of them are Anti-Vaccine and we need to disseminate information to educate people about Covid-19 and inform them about vaccine roll-out programs for the whole community.
- 🤷♀️🤷♀️ We do believe that there are Pro and Anti-vaccines in our community and we need to come-up with research studies to estimate the level of knowledge in the communityThe Mixed-Method Study design will be used to explore the phenomenon, whereby a systematic integration of Quantitative and Qualitative approach will be used.Based on the numbers of case reported, we decided to conduct Quantitative and Qualitative study by means of survey, semi-structured interviews and questionnaires to quantify and estimate the number of people willing to vaccinate and those that are not interested.Out of 100 000 participants only 40% agreed to vaccinate Anti- vaccines sited religions, cultural beliefs and ingredients that vaccines are made up of as reasons not to take vaccines. Others indicated that since there are rumors and false information regarding vaccines, they need to confirm if indeed vaccines are working and safe.
