You see... This large chunk of land is very important for us. it provided us the things we needed the most such as food, money, and place to build a shelter and farm.

no, not forever. everything you see in here wouldn't last long. many mining companies are trying to buy this land and mine. I do not want to but I'm afraid that they might threaten us.

Yes, The land is

continuosly degraded. It is what they Land Degradation. As I mentioned earlier, land is very important for the survival of human race. it provides us with everything we need. but people like me, continues to exploit it causing a negative effect to the environment.

Farming, industrial development, and natural causes such as flood are just some of the factors that affects land degradation. the nutrients from the soil is being removed causing it's demise. Land degradation can cause flooding in towns and also habitat loss for the animals such as birds and other wildlife species.

That is why I am planning to plant trees in this area to make up for the losses before.

I would love to help, Ken! simple things such as planting trees and proper waste disposal can still help turn things around. we can do it!
