  • Zuko's Adventure For Friendship
  • By: Odelia KolbonTakiyah Lacy Rexford Bibio
  • Zuko arrived at the new farm and saw many sheep. This made Zuko happy because even though he had to leave his old friends he can make new ones.
  • For the next week every time Zuko tried to make friends he was told Sorry, our friend group already has 4 sheep. This saddened Zuko, so Zuko became even more determined to find a friend group.
  • No sorry, my friend group is already full
  • Hey! Can we be friends😆
  • One day Zuko the Sheep was told that he had to move farms. The farm he called home was overfilled so Zuko has to leave all his friends.
  • ☹️
  • The Quotient Remainder Theorem has 4 parts.A stands for the dividend, which is how many total sheep are on the farm. D stands for divisor, which is the number of friends in a friend group.Q stands for the quotient, which is the number of friend groups on the farm.R stands for the remainder, which has become Zuko, the lonely sheep.
  • The Remainder Theorem
  • A= DQ + R 80=4Q + R 80= 4 (20) + RR = 0
  • So before I came to the farm there was only 80 sheep, divided into 20 friend groups
  • A = DQ + R 81 = 4Q + R81 = 4 (20) + 1R=1
  • With the help of the Quotient Remainder Theorem, Zuko realized that with 81 sheep on the farm, the friend groups can't be equally divided into groups of 4.So Zuko created a new equation 81=3Q+ R. In this equation there is no remainder! 81 sheep can be equally divided into friend groups of 3 sheep each, making 27 friend groups total
  • The Remainder Theorem
  • A = DQ + R 81= 3Q + R81= 3(27) + R R= 0
  • In order to make friends Zuko decides to use the Quotient Remainder Theorem.
  • The Quotient Remainder Theorem
  • Zuko gathered all the sheep on the farm to tell them his plan. Zuko explained to them the quotient remainder theorem and how he used it to find the perfect amount of friend groups for the farm. The other sheep were excited about Zuko's plan and all decided to participate.
  • Since the farm now has 81 sheep, if each friend group has 3 sheep each, I can join a group!
  • I have an idea! 💡
  • In there friend groups of 3, Zuko and all the other sheep live Happily Ever After on the farm! The End! 💚🐑
