- In this stage, we see that Clark is being bullied by other students at his school. This causes him to be emotionally distressed and look for a way out.
- Why must they always bully me? I never did anything to them. I just want to get away from all this

- Clark has now worsened the situation. Instead of choosing a healthier option to cope, he took drugs and now that he's come down from the high, he feels horrible. In addition to that, his parents are now angry at him and his bullying problem persists and hasn't been resolved.
- Guilt/shame
- Ugh, I feel horrible now. Those pills made me sick and I might have to go to the hospital. Those kids are still going to bully me. Why did I do this? Maybe I should've just talked to someone about this
- CLARK! WHY IS MY BOTTLE OF PILLS EMPTY?!
- The wrong decision was made and Clark uses drugs as a coping mechanism.
