- Galledet College had finally been free from the grip of Zinser, the 7th president of the college, chosen over an actually deaf canidate, but how did we get here?
- 1st day after the voting you could tell something was brewing, people were livid, they felt unrepresented and unheard. Some may have anticipated some rioting, but no one could have predicted what happened next.
- Soon more joined the cause, people showing that they would no longer stand for this sort of blatant ignorance, no one was going to stop them from standing up for what they believed in
- And so the revoultion began, Students gathered in the streets and on campus, untied under one thing, the undying wish for a fair representative
- Even Giving up their spring breaks, because they'd rather protest this cause then go out and party, ignoring the prejudice occuring right before them...
- But their fighting payed off. Zinser stepped down, and Irving King Jordan became the instututions very first deaf president.
- They faught relentlessly and persistently for their representation, and showed the world that they are not be ignored
