- AFTER THE SPEECH
- Every year, we have an election for the role of school councillor; I had stood for it before but was never elected. This year was my last chance!
- That was great!
- I told you that you could do it!
- Now it is time to vote!
- LATER THAT DAY
- Our teacher said there was one vacancy; and my friend (Evie) was the only other candidate.
- YAY!
- I've just heard - we need two school councillors. You've both been elected!
- I tried really hard to get that spot.I had practised lots but so had Evie...
- I knew that we would still be friends after this, it didn't matter to us who won (as the other person got to be vice-councillor). Thankfully, I won the vote but there was a twist...
