- You may wonder what a solvent even is a solvent is a substance with the ability to dissolve solute.
- Water is known as a universal solute because it can dissolve more substances than any other solvent.
- Water is a better solvent than oil
- Water is a better solvent than oil because the copper sulfate crystals dissolved completely in water while in the oil the crystals did not dissolve.
- The copper sulfate crystals dissolving in the water shows the principle of solubility.
