- INTRODUCTION - At the court house
- You may go to jail or you will be sent to Camp Green Lake
- PROBLEM - Stanley on the way to Camp Green Lake
- EVENTS - Stanley finds something!

- Stanley Yelnats was arrested and had to go to the court house because he stole a pair of expensive shoes. Stanley's family was very poor and they were cursed because his great-great-grandfather didn't obey Madame Zeroni many years ago.
- CLIMAX - Stanley and Zero run away
- Stanley Yelnats was transported by bus, handcuffed to his armrest. The guard was watching him - a rifle lay across his lap. Stanley was thinking about all the times he had played 'Camp Fun and Games' when he was younger and tried to pretend he was just going there in real life.
- PROBLEM IS RESOLVED - Stanley finds the treasure and it actually belongs to him!
- Stanley Yelnats and the other boys were expected to wake up at 4:30 in the morning for a scrawny breakfast and immediately get to work digging a hole, five feet deep and five feet across in every direction. One day, Stanley found something! It was a gold tube with the initials K.B on it.
- CONCLUSION - Stanley and Zero go home!
- Zero hits Mr Pendanski with his spade and then runs away into the vast, open desert with nothing - not even water. Stanley follows him.
- Stanley Yelnats and Zero decided to come back to camp (after running away) and try to look for the treasure and get some food and water and then they would be on their way home. They eventually found the treasure but in the meantime, they had caused a lot of commotion - especially because it was in the middle of the night - and got smothered in lizards!
- Stanley Yelnats
- Stanley and Zero went home with their suitcase full of treasures. Later, at the Yelnats house, there was a small party with lots of good food and the Super Bowl was on television. Then, a commercial of a baseball game came on the screen and everyone stopped talking and watched. Clyde Livingston, who was in the room with Stanley, was advertising Stanley's dad's invention - Sploosh - a product that helps with smelly feet!
