- Ther eare 100 trillion of them. The reason why there are so many of them is becausethere are different types of cells.
- Well,they provide living things like nutrients from food, and carry DNA.Doyou know how many cells the body carries?
- Are these red blood cells, white blood cells, sex cells, andfat cells examples of cells?
- Yes you’re right, there are at least 200 different types.
- Indeed!. And each of them has their own particular roleright?
- Why yes! Cells work together to form a functional unit. But wait, who discoveredcells?
