- Look how beautiful it is.#160; Did you know how dependent all living things are on our soil? Even the air we breath.
- I hadn't really thought of it, why do you say that?
- Well for example, the very dirt we're standing on...worms are responsible for making the soil rich which in turn grows those fruit trees, which then feeds the animals and humans!
- Of course we need farmers to grow our food as well but did you know that tractor could also do more damage to the ecosystem than good if not done proper?
- That's absurd, we need farmers and farmers need tractors!
- Yes but actually, if a farmer over tills the land it could actually damage the soil leaving it vulnerable to wind and water erosion.#160; This is how our path would look if that were to happen!
- I don't understand how we could prevent that if we need the farmers to grow our food on their land!
- There are actually ways to prevent it.#160; They could practice crop rotation or make rows in the crops to help with irrigation!
- Just look over there!#160; This farmer is letting this crop rest in rotation and will farm it next season!#160; It helps protect the soil AND he will yield better crops!#160; We all need to do our part!
