- The Boston tea party was a political protest that occurred on December 16 at Griffins Wharf in Boston. Colonists were angry at Britain for imposing taxation

- They imposed the tax in the first place to cover their enourmous debt during the 7 year war. Which was all fair since it was fought on behalf of the colonists

- A British east India company ship, named Dartmouth was carrying tea was loaded with tea from china minding its own business
- The Sons of Liberty comprising of 60 members, held a meeting old south meeting house where they organized tea protest by having a tantrum and destroying property.
- It took nearly 3 hours for around 100 colonists to spill tea into the harbour. The chests held around 45 tons of tea worth around 1 million dollars
