- The truth is, the night before you found me, I escaped from the Angeles City Prison. I am a convicted felon and I have multiple cases, Father. However, I should not be in jail. I was used as a cover-up, Father.
- You know Father, I just escaped from the prison because I wanted to see my family, I wanted my life back, I wanted everything back, and I hate that I had to do the deal. I know what I did was wrong, but what can I do? I'm just a human.
- I am Rainelle Fredo, single, and this is my first Sacrament of Reconciliation. I have been disobedient for lying to you, to others, to my family, and God.
- Continue when you're ready, son. God is hearing all this.
- I wanted to save my mother and cure my father, I wanted them to be happy. I immediately turned myself in, as the most notorious criminal in the City. All papers were replaced with my name and picture, father.
- I had no choice. I’m sorry I lied to you, but I came from a poor family. My family was suffering from poverty. I had 10 siblings, a drug addict mother, and a dying father from tuberculosis. But then, a rich man was looking for someone to shoulder the jail time of his client. I made the deal in exchange for money.
- One way that God showed his mercy to you is by leading you to us. Hence, let mere mind you of these. God is merciful for those who know how to repent for their sins. God doesn’t tolerate the presence of sin.
- After the confession, Rev. Fr. Kristoff had shared his insight about Rainelle.
- Are you sure? You're not still completely absolved, son. You have to showcase your sincerity towards change, towards penance, and towards the forgiveness of your sins.
- And there are three mercies given to all humans. First, prevenient grace, mercifully given and received, without cooperation from free will. Second, subsequent grace, mercifully offered, but only received if the sinner cooperates with the grace in a free choice. Lastly, providence, mercifully given and received, without cooperation from free will.
- God doesn’t tolerate the presence of sin. Lastly, God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus down to this world to die for us. He did this so we could live and be reconciled with Him.
- You know, son, when I saw you in front of the Church, I saw a different person, with a different purpose and being. God brought you to us, to be reconciled and to partake in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Everybody knew you were a felon. They have seen in their eyes that you're different. Normal people see what they see, but Jesus sees what's on the inside.
- I think I received the subsequent grace, Father.
- With all of that happening, Rainelle thought about the last thing Rev. Fr. Kristoff told him, about what ways could he do to obtain forgiveness and make reparation of his sins.
- Oh snap, I almost forgot, I had a copy about that. Let me see it... AHA! HERE IT IS!
- Effective ways on how a person can genuinely obtain forgiveness and make reparation for his/her sins: - You can obtain forgiveness by turning from your sins and returning to God using a changed life. A changed life can be proven by not repeating the sins you have committed before with the help of God.- Being sorry for the sins committed by confessing your sins directly to God with a sincere and humble heart.- Repair the damage that has been done by showing a change in attitude and mindset.- Acknowledge and accept your sins, and understand why it's wrong, and learn how to forgive yourself.- Learn also how to forgive others just like how God forgave you.
- - Educate other people that are going through the same problems as you did and advise them on how you were able to change your life.- Change the things that made you repent by not only saying it but applying it to your actions as well.
- I think I should do something to have full absolution, to gain forgiveness, and to be reunited again with the Lord.
- Afterthinking of the possible ways last night, Rainelle rushed to the prison right after he woke up, he turned himself in, and revealed the truth to the authorities.
- While the news was flashing on the screen, Rev. Fr. Kristoff was watching and so the other staffs of the Church. They were smiling and rejoicing because Rainelle did the right thing. He followed the path towards the Sacrament of Penance or Self-Punishment which is serving his time for escaping the prison.

- Ladies and Gentlemen, breaking news, the felon Rainelle Fredo has turned himself in for escaping the prison. He even revealed the truth behind his mysterious cases.
- I'm Rainelle Fredo, and I am here to reveal the truth and cleanse my name.
- I am not the killer, the drug dealer, nor the arms dealer. I made a deal with a rich man who wanted a guy to turn himself in exchange for money, to clear the name of his client. I did it for the money, for my family. Hence, the real killer is -------
- Consequently, I am here to turn myself in for escaping the prison. I will cooperate with everything and anything.
- After3 years, Rainelle was released sooner because of his good character. According to the officers, he continued his good deeds inside, changed his ways, and started to proclaim God's words. Afterthinking of the possible ways last night, Rainelle rushed to the prison right after he woke up, he turned himself in, and revealed the truth to the authorities.
- Rainelle immediately rushed to the Blessed Sacrament and prayed for God's blessing to him. After praying, he visited the Church and Rev. Fr. Kristoff.
- Your spot was even reserved, Rainelle! Start whenever you're ready!
- Ranielle, welcome back! We've missed you too! I'm happy to see you changed, well, and happy.
- WOOOH! I'm FREE!!! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!
- Oh yeah, I'm sure changed, Father. So, is my cleaner spot still available? I'm gladder to serve again in this Church while also supporting my family!
- Long time no see, Father! I've missed you, and this Church!
- Rainelle has vowed to gain the Sacrament of Conversion. He converted from being a felon to being a preacher in the Church. When he had his free time, he studied the Bible and started to attend Preaching class. Sooner or later, he started preaching in the prison, he even started telling his story to the other felons.
- God is merciful towards repentant sinners, brother. He will also guide you towards the right path just like what he did to me...
