- Sparked Ideas of Democracy, Liberty, and Equality Upper-class members of the third estate (the bourgeoisie) looked at the success of the American Revolution and began to speak openly about eliminating the old social system and replacing it with the Enlightenment concepts of democracy, liberty, and equality.
- People in Ethiopia are fighting for democracy against their parliamentary government, which is branding its elections as democratic although many people boycotted the elections because they were not democratic. The political transition from the Tigray People's Liberation Front to the new rulers has set the country into a state of war.
- Innocent civilians in Ethiopia are subject to violence such as killings, rape, or fighting near their homes; all for the government to become Democratic which will give the people a say in what happens around the country. The Tigray People's Liberation Front started to centralize the government and make it more democratic until the ruling power switched hands and the country went into disarray between the people and those in high up positions of the government.
