- once upon a time about a month ago in Camalig Philippines, there was two siblings, ginger, and Mason. They lived in the beautiful city all their life with their grandparents and pet pig lai. Sure they seem like normal children but really they’re a bit strange...
- Their family could talk to the earth. Ever since they were born ginger and Mason has been able to communicate with the ocean the trees the mountains and pretty much anything else that had some sort of connection to our planet.
- He didnt!
- I know right!
- mason was as normal as he could. He had friends, a girlfriend, he was a great soccer player and got good grades but ginger spent her time eating alone and talking to her best friend…
- Who was a volcano? When ginger was 6 she came across Mayon one day on a field trip with her class. They have been friends ever since. Gingers grandmother thinks she should make some real friends who aren’t giant fiery volcanoes but ginger doesn’t care she loves her volcano.
- one day when school was over she snuck over to go see Mayon. He was always so sweet and kind but today something seemed… off.
- it’s nothing really I just feel a bit ill
- Whats wrong?
- Well, we better get a doctor!
- ginger ran home to get her grandfather who was a scientist
- GRANDPA GRANDPA!
- Mayon's sick! Come on we have to go help him!
- Whats wrong ginger?
- Well, i feel warmth moving up my body and its really hot!
- So Mayon, what does this "sickness" feel like.
- Ginger dragged her grandfather all the way too see Mayon. Mayon looks worse than before.
- You probably just have a fever. Humans get them all the time!
- Ginger, Mayon. I'm afraid i know what it is. Mayon, you're about to experience an eruption.
- What does that mean...
- Mayon is kind of like a mountain, A mountain that is an open hole to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth. Over time pressure builds up, and eruptions occur. When an eruption happens, that mean gas and rocks shoot up through the opening and lava spills over or fills the air. The lava can create damage to places like our city.
- I'm so sorry mayon. We will get through this together
- I am NOT leaving mayon! He is my best friend.
- Ginger, This may be upsetting but we have to leave the town as soon as possible. We have no idea how close he is to erruption
- Please! We cant just leave him here. I wont!
- Ginger, its for the best. I think you should leave.
- You will, i promise.
- But what if i never see you again?
- I love you mayon.
- I love you Ginger.
- You can't just let him suffer here by himself! Please!
- A week later
- You will attend school there now.
- So were gonna go to a friends house in Jovellar for probably a while.
- Are we ever coming back? What about our city?!
- And volcano clean up can take months and even many years. When the city is safe again we will conciser moving back
- We have notified the mayor and they are now preparing too. We don't know if the volcanoes going to make bad impact on our city but its possible. Were just being extra safe
