- How was school today Yana?
- I don't know. Today was off for me and I don't know how to feel. I was getting made fun of for being weak because I'm a girl. I didn't know what to say.
- I want to play with some friends on the playground. I'll ask them if they want to play
- It was a normal day until recess. I wanted to play with a couple friends until one kid came up to me and told me how I was weak.
- Can I play with you guys?
- You're a girl. You're weak. You can't do anything.
- I thought about that comment the whole day. I didn't know what I did for him to make a comment like that.
- Am I not good enough? Do people really think I'm weak because I'm a girl?
- Now I'm here. Not sure what to do. I don't want to go to school tomorrow. I'm afraid of what people think of me now.
- I'm sorry that happened to you, Yana. You have to show them what you're capable of. You are not weak. You're a strong girl. Prove them wrong.
- My mom is right. I am so much more than what they think of me. I want to show that girls can do anything we put our mind to.
- This will be a great opportunity to help those in need.
- My mom told me about about the fires in Yosemite and how there are many lives being affected.
