- What are the chances you think are son will have hemophilia. Your family has a history of hemophilia?
- We can make a pedigree of our family's hemophilia to find out. It will help us visualize our sons chances
- Since my mother had hemophilia, her alleles were hh since it was a recessive trait, while my father had Hh since he still has the trait from his father who had hemophilia, but he himself doesn't. Since I don't have hemophilia, my genotype is also Hh, do you know yours?
- This is a pedigree. The circles represent the males and the squares represent the females. So Im a circle and you're a square. My grandfather had hemophilia, and so did my mother.
- My family hasn't had anyone with hemophilia, so I think I would be HH if hemophilia a recessive trait.

- Yeah, you're right. So we don't have to worry about him contracting hemophilia.
- This can tell us the chances our son gets hemophilia based off of our conditions. Since you do not have an allele for hemophilia, it means that our son will not get hemophilia since your genes are dominant gene
