- This image is after Russia adopted classical liberalist veiws and started rapid industrialization. These workers endured terrible working conditions and living conditions. This caused discontent among workers.

- Although Tsar Nicholas implemented some reforms, they did not satisfy those living in Russia. 150000 workers signed a petition to get the attention of Tsar, when they marched to deliver the petition, the russian soldiers assumed it was a threat so they shot and killed 200 people.
- 1917 revolution
- Bloody Sunday marked the start of the 1905 revolution because it gave a rise to protest after the mass killing of workers.
- Rise of Lenin
- "you cannot make a revolution in white gloves"
- The war caused food shortages and strikes to become more common, poor leadership and massive losses in the war. This eventually led to the revolution of 1917
- Mass demonstrations and strikes, due to the world war, led to another revolution. Protests spread across the city and eventually led to Nicholas Tsar II stepping down.

- The bolsheviks gained support from the peasents and soldiers through Lenin. He served as the first and fouding head of government in soviet Russia.
