Texte du Storyboard

  • Q grows into a very determined, outgoing, and adventurous person. Q has grown into a brave man and he has grown in his character, Margo has had a huge influence on him. Margo is a very outgoing courageous and brave person that goes to parties and explores abandoned minimalls. She forced Q to get out of his comfort zone by making him go with her to get revenge and also by leaving him on basically a wild goose chase.
  • John Green
  • Paper Towns
  • In the beginning of the story Q is a shy socially awkward teen who doesn't do much except for go to school, play video games with Radar and Ben, and study.
  • The resolution is when Q finds the clue that Margo left for him on a website ran by Radar that says she's in the paper town Agloe in New York
  • The climax is when Lacey, Q, Radar, and Ben skip graduation to take a 21 hour road trip to Agloe, New York where Margo is..
  • In the ending when Lacey, Radar, Q, and Ben arrive in New York they find Margo, but Margo is bitter towards them and Lacey, Rada, and Ben leave. Q stays and talks with Margo. They talk about how Margo wants to stay in New York and leave her past behind, but she wants Q to stay as well, Q has to go home, but before he does Margo and Q kiss. However Q still does not want to stay, they agree to stay in touch and they go their separate ways.
  • On page 257 Q says, "I feel like this is an important idea, one of those ideas that your brain must wrap itself around slowly, the way pythons eat" this is a simile. What he means is that everyone has complex inner lives of their own. This is important because this statement shows how much Q has grown as a person thought the book; he shows how he has developed self knowledge and is really starting to develop as a person.
  • The most important setting in paper towns is when Q goes to the minimall on prom night. This setting impacts the events in the story by impacting Q when he sees the things Margo has left behind and he is given hope that she has not committed suicide. This makes Q more determined to find her and to search high and low to find more clues.
  • Theme Perception is tricky it allows someone to think one way about a person, but not everyone is who you think they are.
  • This lesson is taught to us in Paper Towns when the author shows us the side of Margo that everyone knows. Everyone knows that Margo is a fun outgoing adventurous person. The author shows us another side to Margo when she runs away to New York. She is showing the side of her that is struggling everyday and just wants to move on from her emotional past.
  • When this quote is said is when Q is starting to loose hope in finding Margo and three weeks before graduation. This quote is Q starting to understand Margo. The quote leads up to the turning point in this book; this is what makes this quote so important to Paper Towns.
  • "Margo was not a miracle. She was not an adventure. She was not a fine and precious thing. She was a girl."
  • Margo Roth Spiegelman was a person, too. And I had never quite thought of her that way, not really; it was a failure of all my previous imaginings.
