- Emily, Her Mother Karen, and Father David, go to pick up Navin her brother. They are running late and end up crashing over a cliff. The only one that didnt make it was thier dad.

- 2 years later.... The family moves into an old family house, in the middle of nowhere called Norlen. While exploring the new house They find a book with information on the Amulet. Emily stumbled on the amulet after pricking her finger.

- While exploring their new house, they were once again led into the basement to check out some weird noises. Their mom gets kidnapped by a mysterious monster with tenticles. The monster drags her behind the basement door and she was gone.
- Chasing after their mother through time and demensions using the amulet , they soon find themselves in a mystical world that seems all too familiar to them. They soon find out thier grandfather. The great inventor has left some unfinioshewd puzzles and buisiness that the kids now have to finish.
- Emily and Navin must work together to solve the puzzles and save thier mother, who somehow ends up paralized. within the next two books holds the cure they seek for thier paralised mother. To know more read with me!
