- This set shows the beginning of Bloody Sunday. On January 22, 1905, over 150,000 people signed a petition and marched to the Czar. The petition asked for a reduction in the working day, increase in wages, and an improvement in working conditions for peasants. Over 100 workers were killed and 300 wounded due to an attack by the police.

- In March 1917, women textile workers led a citywide strike in Petrograd. These riots flared up over shortages of food and fuel. Thousands of workers swarmed the streets and even the soldiers joined the riots. The large crowds shouted “Down with the war!” This forced Czar Nicholas II to abdicate his throne and then establish a provisional government.
- when Lenin returned to lead the Bolsheviks, he gained political support from the peasants,workers,and soldiers. Their Slogan was “Peace, Land, and Bread and Bread. They promised to keep Russia out of WW1 and redistribute land in Russia to the people evenly and end starvation. In November 1917, the Bolshevik party attacked the provisional government in Petrograd. They took control of the government and important Russian cities. They turned Russia into the world’s first communist nation.
- After the Bolshiveks gained power, a civil war erupted. The two main forces were the Red Army(communists) and the pro-imperialist White army. Some foreign countries like France, Britain, U.S, and Japan joined the White Army as well. The Red Army won the War.
- In 1918, there were 2 assassination attempts trying to kill Lenin. The communist government responded with the Red Terror. The Red Terror was a campaign of mass killings, torture, and oppression on all those who opposed the Bolsheviks. The movement took place from 1918 to 1922.
- Due to several assassination attempts, caused by many health probelms, Lenin suffered with strokes, In this cell, it shows Lenin in the hospital, with his wife after his first stroke. He was left partially paralyzed on his right side and his role in the government declined. In this set, Lenin is warning his wife about thegovernment but especially about Joseph Stalin. On January 21, 1924, Lenin died at the age of 53.
