- Gaius Julius Caesar was born in Subura , Rome in the year 100 BC. At the age of six he began his education. He was taught by a private tutor. He learnt to read, write and roman laws and how to speak in public.

- cesar´s father died when he was 16 years old. He became the head of the family and he was responsible of his mother Aurelia and his sister Julia . At the age of 17 he married Cornelia.

- The current dictator of Rome, Sulla, was enemies with both Caesar's uncle Marius and Caesar's father in-law Cinna. Caesar joined the army to avoid Sulla.When Sulla died, Caesar returned to Rome , now he was a military hero from his years in the army.

- When Caesar was 40 he was elected to consul. That was like a president, the highest ranking in Rome Republic. There were two and for one year, when the year end Caesar became governor of the Gaul. Caesar was in charge of four roman legions. (Civil War, Dictator of Rome and muder)

- Caesar took control of Rome in 49 BC and spent 18 months fighting Pompey.Finally he defeated Pompey,chasing him all the way Egypt. In 46 BChe returned to Rome, the senate made him dictator for life, he was the most powerful man .But , they plotted to kill him , on March 15, 44 BC, his son Bruthus killed him
