- the boston massacre occurred on march 5th 1770 when the colonists were angry about being unfairly taxed and angry at british occupation and they took their anger out on the troops,throwing things etc at the troops. that's when troops begin firing their guns and killing those in the mob.this was one of the leading factors to the revolutionary war.
- the revolutionary war was a 7 year lasting war that occurred when 13 of britain's north american colonies rejected its imperial rule. The leading causes that led up to the war were the boston massacre,boston tea party, and intolerable acts. George washington's command defeated the british, establishing and securing the independence of the United states. The treaty of paris ended the war.

He established the cabinet system, th practice of delivering an annual state of union address to congress,he established the tradition of presidents serving 2 terms, setting the precedent that no president should serve more than 2 terms.he worked hard to establish a strong federal government that would serve the needs of the nation.
