- Sherman Alexie, is a Dynamic, protagonist character. Even when his peers bulled him, he pushed through and was able to accomplish some major goals.

- The main conflict in the story was external. Throughout the story, protagonist was bulled majority of his life not just for his looks, but for the way he never fought back
- Theme
- The story is about Sherman Alexie, a Indian boy who was born on a reserve with 1000 other tribal members. He goes through many stages in life shown through each grade he goes up.
- The story is first person central. The speaker is telling the story along with his thoughts
- Keep striving to be the best you even in tough situations. Even though his childhood was rough, he still graduated as a valedictorian and became successful
