I planned to have a sleepover with my best friend. She decided to tell me everything that was bothering her while we were sitting on bean bags.
"So, I've been sad recently because of my school grades. I feel like I'm failing, but I'm trying my hardest to learn," she said.
"Stop worrying about it; I've seen you studying so hard for our upcoming tests, and I believe you'll ace them," I told her.
She told me that she had experienced problemsstudying because of some family problems.
“Really? Wow! I know an ice cream shopnearby, let’s go.” she replied.
“Do you want me to help you study? Let’s go out for ice cream first so that you would have the energy to study!” I happily said to her.
After arriving at the ice cream store,we ordered our own flavors and went home after eating.
“So, what lesson are you in Englishsubject now?” I asked.
“We are currently on types of listening,”she replied.
“Oh, I’ll give one example of a typeof listening. Emphatic listening is one of the four types of listening. It’slike what I am doing now. Listening to the things that bother you.”
“I’m very lucky to have a best friendlike you who can always listen to my rants,” she said.
