- Boo Radley is set to be crazy according to the neighbors. He is locked away from the rest of Maycomb since people are scared of him. As the story continues, the readers see Boo mend Jem's pants, wrap Scout in a blanket, and save Jem from being attacked by Bob Ewell. Boo also leaves gifts for the kids.#160;
- Helen Robinson
- Tom Robinson is accused of rape by Mayella Ewell. Tom would help her out on the way back home from work. Atticus proved that Tom was innocent but the jury said he was guilty. In response, Tom escapes jail since he thought he would never get the appeal. He then gets shot.#160;
- Ms. Dubose
- Atticus gets hate for taking on the Tom Robinson case. He tries to show his kids that it is okay to go against people's perspectives and fight for what you want. He proves that Tom is innocent and when he is proven "guilty" he tries to get an appeal.
- Scout
- Helen Robinson has a job and takes care of her kids. She got her job taken away because of Mayella Ewell's accusation against Tom. Because of the rape case, her life was changed.
- Ms. Dubose is a recovering morphine addict. She lives in pain and decides everyday to live with it instead of being in a different mind state.
- Because of the way Scout dresses her aunt judges her. Scout is well above her age and tries to think of ways to help anyone, especially her father. She gets bullied in school because of what her father is doing.
