- You must practice driving for one year when you have your L with an adult who is over 25 years old and has a class 5 drivers licence before you can get your N.

- You must pass a driving test after a year of practice to get your N

- You can drive on your own, with immediate family members or with one other non family member in the car when you have your N. You must have your N for a minimum of 2 years.
