- why is hamlet acting so strange? he is raising suspicions. maybe it is his love for Ophelia that is leading him to behave oddly.
- we don't know sir. he was interested in the acting company and has asked to preform this evening.

- The king discusses with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. They cannot come to the conclusion as to why Hamlet is acting strange
- get yourself to a covent at once. Goodbye.
- His love for you is the root of his madness!
- The king, Poloinus, and Ophelia execute thier plan to try to get to the bottom of why Hamlet is acting the way he is. The king and polonius hide while Ophelia reads a book and speaks to Hamlet.
- I must send Hamlet to England. He knows something.
- Ophelia trys to return the gifts Hamlet gave her, he denies he did. They both feel confused and betrayed.
- Hamlet is suspicious and states "get thee to a nunnery". Hamlet leaves.
- The king and Polonius discuss what they heard Hamlet say. The king decides he will send Hamlet to the king of England. Polonius advises him to wait to speak with the queen.
