- In the early 1500´s, the pilgrims were practicing their religion, however, over time that gradually became more difficult due to the Church of England and their rule that if the pilgrims didn´t practice the Church of England´s religion they would be sent to prison.

- Beginning of Trial
- Early 1600´s: A group of surpists left for the Netherlands only to realize they missed how life was back in England and were nervous that the children would grow up more Dutch than English, and they missed how life was back in England as well.
- I hope our kids won´t be Dutch
- Things were so much better in England.
- I believe they will be, we need to go back.
- 1620´s: The pilgrims set sail for England on their trusty boats The Mayflower and The Speedwell, with a plan to setup a village in Northern Virginia, however, that is when the Pilgrims realized that one of their two ships, being the Speedwell, kept on springing leaks and was found to be not fit for the sea, therefore they left The Speedwell behind.
