Wired has been doing so well lately! We have 10 employees, and so many people are wanting to try our coffee! Almost too many for us to handle.
The coffee shop business is doing very well. Employment has increased, and the growth of this business has expanded as more consumers are coming the coffee shop. Wired has therefor increased production and consumer consumption is high. The owners are very happy the business is doing well
I agree! Demand is so high at the coffee shop right now. We might need more baristas! Business is expanding so greatly we are running out of supplies!
6 Months Later...
As the economy slows, business is not doing well for Wired. The owners don't want to lay off workers, so instead they are closing the shop multiple days a week. The coffee shop has had a major decrease in business production, and are barely making due to satisfy their customers, pay their employees, and maintain the business.
These last 2 quarters of the year have been hard on the coffee shop, We might have to close down for awhile until things get better
Unfortunately, we have had to close the coffee shop on weekends. We just don't have enough money coming in the pay workers 7 days a week AND buy the materials we need
Contraction
Expansion
The economy has gotten better and more people are finally coming back to the coffee shop!
The Contraction has deepened, and GDP is at an extremely low rate. This is a very long period of high rates in unemployment, and the owners have had to lay off 6 employees because they cannot afford to pay them anymore as their barely getting any income
The business cycle has finally started to make a recovery after the long and hard contraction. The economy has started to show many improvements, which can be seen as the Coffee Shop is getting more customers. They are even able to buy more materials and rehire their workers they let off.
TROUGH
This has lasted too long. If the economy doesn't get better soon, we might have to shut this coffee shop completely down.
Last week we had to layoff 6 of our workers. I can't possibly lay off anymore, but it seems as if it will never get better.
I'm so happy our business is improving. We are finally able to re-employ our workers that we had to lay off when times were rough
