- Lucy and her family were traveling to California to be in a better place and make more money.The family had packed food and water to last for 2 weeks because they thought maybe it would take a couple of days. Lucy the oldest child was so exited to go because she was going to become an artist and help her family make money.Mia/Mom really needs to go to California because Mia doesn’t have a job so she is going to find one in California .David/Dad he loves exploring but he needs a job that pays him more money than 10 cents a hour like his regular job.Emily the youngest child she really wants to go make friendships and explore.Luke the middle child loved looking for rocks in the woods and when he found a lot he would decorate and paint them to sell them for food for the family

- So every day the Jones family would try so hard to make money they even had to beg to the rich for any money a penny would even help them they barely had any money so this is the Jones family.

- Oh my goodness thank you so much you have been the best thing on this trip.
- 1st day of traveling they are not even half way down the trail Emily is really scared because there are wolfs,snakes,and bears.Lucy always looked after her brother and sister so when they were scared she would always say there in safe were ever they go and that made them feel better.2 days later they were riding down the trail in there tiny wagon and then out of no were a bear came out and ripped open there wagon Emily screamed and Luke yelled.Lucy Covered Luke and Emily to protect them Mia and David grabbed there knifes and cut the bears paw

- This is so amazing!
- The bear ran away into the dark forest and now there safe so they were about to start moving but the wagon was broken so David had to fix it with his blanket,Mia’s sowing kit,and a string.It took days to fix the wagon the longer it took to fix it the faster the food went away.Finally they fixed the wagon and moved on there journey.’’I am hungry’’ Emily said ‘‘Me to’’ Luke said.’’Please do not complain’’Mia said ‘‘yes do not complain we did not think it would take this long on the trip just eat the plain crackers’’ David replied ‘‘But I do not like those they have no flavor to them I want the salted crackers’’ Emily complained ‘‘We ran out of those 2 days ago’’ David replied.
- Please i am so hungry i want crackers.
- :4 more days left of the trip with no food or water.’’Mom I am really thirsty I want water’’ Luke begged ‘‘Sorry Luke but we ran out of water yesterday so just wait for a couple of days’’ Mia said nicely. ‘‘No I want water and food uh I wish we never came on this trip I hate every single moment on this trip’’ yelled Luke ‘‘I am so sorry Luke we can not stop we have no money no nothing please wait’’ Mia said wanting to cry. After a few day there was no food or water then out of no were they saw a tribe and got food and water the tribe was called the fire tribe they were very nice when they saw the Jones family struggling so they had to help they would help a lot of other people traveling to California. The Fire tribe really helped them after the sweat and tears they been through traveling to California was the worst they wished they did not go but they had to for there family for the money just for a better life
- Finally the moment has come the end of the journey that has just changed there life for ever they made it to California.Then the Jones family was part of California. Lucy became a artist and Emily made 5 friends and got a dog named Max.Luke found hundreds upon hundreds of rock to paint and decorate and after he finished he sold them and bought food for every one.Mia found a job to sow blankets and clothes for other people she made 10 cents a hour.David Found a job that gave him a lot of money he worked as a trader a trader got 20 cents a hour which gave him 1.00 a week that was alright but they still got more money than what they used to make.This was a really hard trip but they still made it throw and there proud of that so now they know there in a better life.
